Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

We enjoyed our lunch at DeAngelo's. The place is very clean, the damask on the table is smoothly ironed and without any spot. The server was kind, and the order was ready in a few minutes. The pasta dish was delicious!! It was a relaxing, wonderful dining experience for us! Go for some of their pasta and you will not be disappointed. I checked out their rest room too, the ladies' rest room was well maintained and very clean. That's another good sign for me; therefore, I plan to come back soon.

I ordered a cheese pizza and was surprised at how tasty it was. I mean, it's just cheese, sauce, and bread right... I think the generous amount of cheese is what prompted me to give 4 stars. At one point I had stretched it so far that when I tried to actually eat it I started to choke...that may be gross to you but I love cheese probably more than anyone on the planet. My recent weight gain is from the likes of many different cheeses but that's a whole other story. Anyway, I rarely ever order plain cheese pizza because I enjoy the majority of meat toppings. I say that, to say this, don't forget about the plain cheese pizza. Its great in its simplicity and at DeAngelos it's not boring at all.

Maybe I order the wrong thing or maybe they always have an off day when I go, but I just can't seem to love this place. I ordered a penne dish with chicken. The portion was hefty but it was just overflowing with sauce. It really just felt like I was eating pasta in a soup. The seasoning itself wasn't that great. Lacked salt. The chicken was okay. Presentation reminded me more of cafeteria food than anything else. The entree came with some cheesy bread and I also wasn't a fan. It tasted like it was just frozen bread that was reheated. I am sad to say that I probably won't be back if it is up to me.

Was out running several errands and had had breakfast at 5 30A so I was famished. I was intrigued by thier sign advertising take home pizzas to bake. I dined in and was offered a booth or table. My waitress recommended the pizza so I had a 10inch Leonardo (meatball and sausage with caramelized onion) along with a glass of Hall Sauvignon. It was freezing and I had to put on my rain jacket. The music started with Motown then went into Big Band and sinatra. I like the music BUT not with lunch. My food was ok. Nothing really stood out. The onion was kinda warm and the green peppers with it were just kinda thrown own as they were crunchy.

Delicious food in a darling convenient location. The meatballs and spaghetti is excellent along with the cheese bread. The atmosphere is inviting and warm. We were blessed to have a sweet waitress with true southern hospitality (not usually found in Baton Rouge).

The more I dine at Deangelo's the more I like it! The spinach dip is delicious with large chunks of artichokes. Lunch specials are delicious large portions and priced affordably.

I used to eat at this location and the one on Jefferson highway all the time. I noticed within the last year that the amount of cheese in the calzones has gone down dramatically. I appreciate that they will do whole wheat for you too and still let me create a calzone they took off the menu awhile ago. I enjoy their salads. As for atmosphere, it's dark. I like a little bit of light when I'm eating! Service is average.

Tacky decor, dead plants table side, very very poor service, mediocre food. To make matters worse as my wife and I left we saw the health inspectors certificate in the lobby expired in 2011!!!!

Pizza is OK, salad is marvelous, I try to get a sensation salad from DeAngelo's every time I go to Baton Rouge

Possibly the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had. Honestly, most of my experiences at the DeAngelo's chains are only three-stars. This one would have been the same, as the Sensation salad was bland and my companions' fettucini Alfredo forgettable (is that even an Italian dish?). But on the "chef's special" for the evening was the stuffed mushroom offering, and was out of this world. Five or six large mushrooms with Italian sausage, herbs, cheeses, all broiled in a butter/olive oil. Sublime. I hate to think it was only on the special menu. They need to make it a regular item! Service on the night we were there was lack luster. The young man who waited our table seemed unfamiliar with menu items or items from the bar. He surely was pleasant enough, but not much help in the ordering department.

Food: We ordered the fried ravioli for the table. It was 5 big ricotta cheese ravioli's lightly fried and served with a deliciously tangy marinara sauce. I ate two of these before my dinner of a teardrop tomato Caprese salad and pepperoni pizza arrived. The Caprese salad was amazing. Teardrop tomatoes have a distinctive taste that pair well with the fresh mozzarella balls, basil and balsamic vinegar which I could tell was good quality by its taste and texture. The pizza was a tad greasy due to the amount of pepperoni on it, but it was still good and the cheese had the Ooey Gooey Stretchy thing that I love and that tells you that its real mozzarella. For dessert I had a creme brulee tiramisu. It was sooo sooo sooo good. Our only complaint about it is that we think it might have had alcohol in it which was not disclosed. Despite this, I ate every single bite of it. Service: Top notch. We were told that they were introducing a new menu but for a generous grace period they were going to offer the old menu as well to give their regular customers time to adjust. Our waitress checked in on us several times, kept our drinks full and was very sweet to the 4 year old at the table. Atmosphere: Rust and golden walls with evergreen trim and dim lighting makes for a nice cozy atmosphere. Add funky abstract art instead of the usual kitchy Italian prints and you've got the atmosphere at Deangelo's. Don't let the fact that it's in a strip mall fool you, this place is no Olive Garden, it's a unique dining experience.
